The Housemates - Schoolmates

I live in the wonderful city of leiden. After moving around a bit within the city I ended up at a legendary set of buildings called 'Flanorpad'. The Flanorpad consists of about 4 similar flats, each one divided up into four sections, namely a, b, c and d. I'm at Flanorpad 7b, a small section which houses nine people. Soon we will have our own site on the internet, but for now you can find more information on the Flanorpad at the official homepage. Two of my housemates are also studying Japanese, so even though I will mention them in the university section, their full details can be found here.

Ad Timmering
Nicks: AdoNama, Akaash

Where to start with Ad? Not only is he a great housemate and friend, he is the guy that knows stuff. Whenever there's something you need fixed, he'll know how to do it. Amazing at the computer, he's also fluent in Japanese. He encouraged me to make this homepage. Of course he has one himself too. Ad is almost graduated, and will no doubt get a good job in the future. For now, he enjoys the life of a student in leiden. After all, beer is a good thing.

Tjitske Reinards
Nicks: Tjits, Tjitsie
Age: 21

Tjitske may put up a tough act, but in reality she's just a very kind and sweet girl. She's studying medicine, and I'm sure she will be a great doctor one day. Tjits has an obsession with Sweden. She was there for half a year and she speaks the language. Her boyfriend is Thomas, and no matter how often I tell her that I like (ie don't hate) him, she doesn't seem to believe me. Tjits is a wonderful cook, and an overall terrific housemate.

Annelies Schouten

Annelies was my direct neighbour. Studying psychology, she isn't at home too often. I used to often bother her with too much noise in the evenings, so it had become standard that she knocks on my door, which was mostly open, and asks if she can close it. I moved in the meantime though, so no more worries ;). She is a member of SSR, a fraternity in Leiden here, and she's always very enthusiastic about it. Bless her, and SSR.

Jeroen Fellinger
Nicks: Djeroon, Neorej
Age: 23
Origin: Hoogezand
Jeroen lives one floor above me. He's our resident anime fan, and his collection of anime movies is big, and growing constantly. He was recently watching me using Photoshop and making this site, and that gave him a buzz to maybe start his own webpage on which to display his work. Keep checking out the official Flanorpad 7b homepage to see if the project is in the air or not. His artistic-ness is very apparent in this picture.

Christianne Schaap

Christianne is Jeroen's neighbour, and used to live exactly below me. She's studying biomedical science, and is on her way becoming really rich and famous. Good plan. She really hasn't been at the house too often, so I don't know much about her. She does, though, enjoy sitting in the sun, and she's always very friendly. Her room is somewhat special. Even in a small student-room, she managed to give her artistic impulses a lot of working-space, creating a beautifully crafted, wood-themed room.

Chantal Hendriks

Chantal is the latest addition to our ever-changing house of the unwashed dishes. She hasn't been living here for long yet, but nevertheless we've talked quite a bit already, which was more than good. I offered her a bottle of beer this one time, and you know what she did? She wasn't 'fussy' about it, she said 'yeah, I'd like that' and enjoyed a nice and cold Brand with me. You know, with that she's already won me over. The plan is to take her out into Leiden, show her around a bit. Sounds good to me.

Mirjam van den Berg

Age: 21
Origin: Hoek van Holland
Mirjam lives on the lowest floor in our unit. She's my neighbour. I really don't know her as well as I should. It seems that we always miss eachother on our way in our out the house. Mirjam is a quiet, cute girl. She's been having the same boyfriend for 3 years now, and things are looking pretty steady. It has to be said Mirjam, you have to do your dishes more often ;).

Ron van den Akker

Age: 18

Ron is one of the newer members of our house. To be quite honest, I don't know anything about him. He's friendly, leaves no mess, but I've never really talked to him for more than a minute, so I can't really say anything about him. He seems like a friendly guy though, and the fact is indeed that Ron likes oranges, so he puts them on his head.
