what happened?

Right, so all of you are wondering what I'm always blabbing about on the index page in the first paragraph? Well have I got the solution for you both! Here, I will keep a little archive of what I've written in exactly that paragraph. For your reading pleasure, I will try to put everyhthing on here one month at a time. The oldest post of the month will be at the top. When you have no idea what I'm talking about, go back a few days and everything should become clear. Whenever I think it's worth it, I'll add a link to the more interesting things I mention. Try to expect not too many links.

A couple of things always become clear to me whenever I visit Italy. Not only do they uphold their image over there by serving you wonderful food, not only is the weather great, nature's also truly fantastic there, and the most beautiful people in the whole world live there. They don't speak a single word of english though, so beware. Oh, and it also becomes clear that many Dutch people are truly, frighteningly and terribly irritating, dumb, and downright UGLY.

3 - Friday - 10:09
Let me post another couple of pictures from italy. I must have been such an ass to the italians. There I was, with my paper hat and no less then two language guides to help me communicate with our southern almost-neighbors. It did help though, I was able to have wonderful 6-line conversations about a very static subject. In totally unrelated news, I had a couple of beers with Jasper yesterday. He's back from Athens, all well and ready for beer.

Whatever would a student do without the occasional party here and there? Now we all know Ad is no student anymore, but that didn't prevent him from celebrating his birthday in a way you don't expect from someone who's already going strong in the harsh reality of a working society. The overall awkward feeling that's been bugging me today can only be seen as a testament to the kind of fun we had yesterday. Thanks, Ad, and enjoy UT2004!

Work and work, but I'm not complaining! Actually, I wouldn't have it any other way right now. And by the way, if you know a lot about soccer, drop me a line, I have a couple of questions for you. I've also been enjoying my new home cinema set. It's one of those things that you eventually will have anyway, and I got one (SACD compatible!) at a real bargain. I'm sure the Indiana Jones series I bought today will look and sound really great.

Oh goody! I guess it has become somewhat of an issue on the net. Who's got one? Well, I do now. A Gmail account. Google shocked quite a few people when it announced to start providing a free email service with all kinds of neat features, including a whopping gigabyte of storage space. Now that I've tested it, I really like that it doesn't add an ad at the bottom of your sent emails. I guess I'll be using the service a lot now. It's Google, you know.

Another two weeks with no updates. Lucky you. Anyway, I've gotten off my lazy ass and started scanning some pictures again. So in the very near future, although I know that with this site, you can never be too sure, you'll be able to see some wonderful new and old pics I've taken in Kerkrade. Work has cooled down a bit, but I immediately got stressed again when the tramp from the supermarket wouldn't let me pay because I was on the phone.

30 - Thursday - 23:59
As said, I've completed the Kerkrade album up to a point that I can actually show it to you. So here I present 25 lovely views on the city in which it just isn't strange when you talk in german. Heck, they'd even encourage it over there. The pics on the newest page are quite a mixed bag. There are a couple of very old pictures indeed, while others date back to two months ago. If I can conjure up more they will be on the site, but for now, check this out.
