what happened?

Right, so all of you are wondering what I'm always blabbing about on the index page in the first paragraph? Well have I got the solution for you both! Here, I will keep a little archive of what I've written in exactly that paragraph. For your reading pleasure, I will try to put everyhthing on here one month at a time. The oldest post of the month will be at the top. When you have no idea what I'm talking about, go back a few days and everything should become clear. Whenever I think it's worth it, I'll add a link to the more interesting things I mention. Try to expect not too many links.

January 2005

1 - Saturday - 07:39
Well, happy new year to you! Let's hope this one will bring a lot of good things. But everyone says that anyway, so it's better to talk about the more intersting things. I've got loads of pictures from our new year party over here, and they'll grace this site very soon indeed! At the time of writing, it's already way past 7:30 in the morning, and if I don't quit now, I'll fall asleep anyway. So good night.

2 - Sunday - 12:45
Isn't the ski jumping event at Garmisch- Partenkirchen always great? It's perfect for the day after 31 december, when you're a bit hung over. Once again the sky was burning in Holland, but this was good fire. The disco was also good, what with dancers, lasers, good friends. Yeah, the evening went well. And oh yeah, in the new year I'll update again. At least until I move to Amsterdam. Which is soon.

3 - Monday - 12:10
As some of you may know, because I can't really shut up about it, I'm going to move to the sprawling city of Amsterdam. Oh sure, I still have school, but there's even more work than that anyway, and all of that will take place in Amsterdam anyway. And let's be fair and square; Amsterdam was always a more exciting city than Leiden. I'll be living very close to great spots like the Leidseplein, the Dam Square, you name it.

4 - Tuesday - 13:43
If things go well, I'll be in the casino tonight. If things go really well, I might leave with more money than I took in there. But how big are the chances that things go that well? You see, with the game of Blackjack it's really not that difficult to win a bit, you just have to follow the rules. Maybe I can earn back the fortune I spent yesterday with Jasper, Aya and Erina in a karaoke joint in Amstelveen. Maybe not.

5 - Wednesday - 12:08
Yeah, what I forgot to mention is that it also takes luck, of course. And I think John in Tokyo has put it best when he said 'You win a few, you lose a few'. It might be a standard thing to say, but he also told me that when I was 'up' in Tokyo, which gives this saying a whole new twist. But, as you expected, luck wasn't too much on my side yesterday, but all the more for my two companions. Good for them!

6 - Thursday - 02:18
Ah, isn't it good that I'm working on the site again? This way we can have a talk every day, for a minute or two. It's a pretty much one-sided talk, but still, it's contact. Aya returned to Thailand today, but I'm sure we've not seen the last of her, which is a very good thing. And I hope I'll get more to see of Shuunosuke ('wow', to that name) and his lovely girlfriend. Pictures coming up soon.

6 - Thursday - 13:01
As said, here's a picture of the two people I met yesterday. You know, they were almost perfect, until they started telling me that Dordrecht really isn't that bad a place. And that comes from someone who lives in my favorite city, the vast metropole that is Tokyo. New York isn't that bad either. And look at these pictures! I'll tell you the whole story soon. This is going to become a big trend.

7 - Friday - 11:48
It seemed like a good idea to me, to have people take pictures of themselves at world famous places, insulting me. I admit, it's strange, but fun nonetheless. Why don't you do the same for me? I only want spots that everyone knows though, like the wonderful Times Square. Could this be the beginning of a new movement? I'll let you be the judge of that. Get out your cameras and go to famous places. Go on, do it.

8 - Saturday - 20:49
The site will be offline for a certain amount of time, when I move to Amsterdam. First, I have to set up an internet connection there, and since there's nothing there yet, that could take a while. Meanwhile, I've been packing things, throwing lots of stuff away, and doing everything to make sure I can move quickly and with no fuss. I've got heaps of boxes though. Let's hope everything will fit.

11 - Sunday - 14:39
Most of my stuff, and what a lot it was, is in Amsterdam now. Only problem is that I can't really put it somewhere, due to the lack of dressers, boards on the wall, you name it. That's only minor though, I'll find a way to fix that. Man, is Amsterdam ever a great city. Everyone seems so relaxed there. The only thing is that you have to lock your bike with 10 locks. But 11 is better.
