Here you will find a lot of pictures in different albums. I was thinking of scanning all my pictures and putting them on the site, but seeing that'll cost a lot of time, and seeing I don't want to double the size of the whole internet all by myself, I decided to just pick out the better pictures and put them on here. I think most of them will speak for themselves, so I won't bother to put an explanation to all the pictures individually. I'll just write some sort of explanation for each album, and from there on you can click on a link to view the whole album in thumbnail size. Just click on any picture to see it full-size. Enjoy!
Tokyo 1st visit

This album is from my first visit to Tokyo. I was there to do an internship at Philips, and it's through this visit that I totally fell for the greatness that is Japan. I was in Nagasaki earlier, and I had a wonderful year there, but nothing could have prepared me for the 24/7 chaotic monster that is Tokyo. I loved every second of it. Not only did I have a great job with wonderful colleagues, the city of Tokyo was so magnificent, it showed me what life is like in a metropole. And I liked it. I had three superb and turbulent months there, and when I came back to Holland, only to leave for the States again the following day, I couldn't help feeling blue because I wasn't in Tokyo anymore.
Tokyo 2nd visit

On my second visit to Tokyo, I was only there for three weeks. And of those three, I actually spent one week in Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan. Nevertheless, my first impression of Tokyo proved itself not to be just a first-time thing. Tokyo was still active as ever, it was still crowded, beautiful, chaotic, intense, impressive, big, complex and wonderful as ever. This time around I wasn't on an internship, but I participated in a Japanese television programme called Waratte Koraete from Nihon Terebi. Being on Japanese tv was not my first time, but this time it sure was the most intense experience! I even got to meet celebrity Jirou Sakagami. Go have a look!

First trip to Tokyo: 3 months. Second trip: 3 weeks. Third trip: 3 days and a bit. I don't like this pattern. Let's make the next visit 3 years. I went to Tokyo to visit my good pal Ad, and these pictures will explain what happened over there. Akihabara is just a strange, scary and beautiful place.
